I'll buy #3, but #1 is a strong sell, and #2 is questionable.

1 is just more mouths to feed. this has not worked for the ACC...but I know folks think it has. They are wrong.

2 This won't work either.

But 1 & 2 are myths due to increases that really came from EXTENSIONS of the contracts, not adding schools or a network (network isn't worth anything, but if the ACC gets one, the money will be from the ACC adding 10-15 years to their ties with ESPN....and will be a mistake).

3 will add some, but nearly as much because they keep most of their money. What is funny as hell is, the ACC loves to crow about how revenue must be equal, yet they have the unequal deal with ND and want one with Texas. There is NO equal revenue sharing now! Embrace it and start paying all the money earners or the ACC won't exist, as is, in 2027.

I assume we can thank Clemson for the "hummus trio and grilled vegetable plate."

Why don't you drive over to the RDU airport and report back to us...?

Oh! My! God!

It's real. How embarrassing. And Gate 7 used to my favorite place for fine dining. Where can I go now?

I'm still trying to figure out why they did this... do they have "the cones of silence" for top secret meetings? How was the gourmet hamburger?

1. Win more
2. Schedule better OOC
3. Get better refs

Ok, #3 may not be related to maximizing value, but it NEEDS to happen.

RE: 3 Ways the ACC Could Maximize its Value
I guess one way to maximize the value of the ACC is to use what some see as a detriment as a benefit. With 4 teams in NC and 2 teams in Virginia and Fl. AND ND, seems like a subscription based network that charges a premium ($10/mo), for enhanced quality coverage of all ACC sports would be the best way to do it. All we really need to do is make a lot more money from the folks within the ACC footprint. In NC alone I bet subscription numbers would be extremely high even at a premium price point.

ACC fan strength is best in NC and VA, but don't underestimate FL with 2 teams - one on each end.

Absolutely! If the ACC can schedule strategically and promote the contests correctly across sports, we can get a bunch of one time subscribers as well. For example, if we schedule individual schools from other conferences in multiple sports (both men and women) in the same month and promote the opportunity to see those away games to their fans, we can capture a one time payment from them.
If Ohio State plays soccer (both men and women) against three different ACC teams in the same month and their fans can see 4 games for $10 I think there could be a decent amount of one time buyers.

Even in Kentucky you see UK fans that have an intense interest with North Carolina and Duke. It's like They are mesmerized by what They are doing. They won't come out directly and admit it but They have a dislike for Syracuse because of losses to Them in critical games but for some misguided reason most UK fans can name the Syracuse starting 5 every year. Louisville obviously gets Their Goat on annually. They also have a thing for Notre Dame. The ACC Network would be very popular in Kentucky , even if it just lets UK fans stay in touch with Their alter egos.

Many SEC fan bases - Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida come to mind - are fascinated by the ACC and would watch the ACC Network if it existed. They probably watch the ACC now, TBH (though they would never admit it).

UK fans buy Louisville season basketball tickets, so they can see some real hoops I assume. Who wants to watch SEC hoops?

To be fair, I have gone to a UK football game but the ticket was given to me.
