Homecoming for the UTSA game? Way too early in the season. I know you want to win but September 24th?

This year it made good sense to have homecoming earlier. There were way too many conflicts later in the season to have the homecoming game. This was good planning by the AD.

It is not an ideal schedule form a Homecoming perspective but that UMass game makes so much more sense to me than UTSA. I know it is only two weeks later but it should be cooler by then and it is kind of the half wayish point of the season. I also doubt we will be having scads of TV networks beating down our door to put ODU/UMass on the air in a cherry broadcast window.

The best part about the schedule this year is only one back to back home week.

Don't thank CUSA. UMass is an OOC game.

The UMASS game is Fall Break for the students so that didn't work, it was either do Homecoming in September or November. Both Homecoming and Parents Weekend are run by departments other than Athletics...they have a say in what games are selected for these promos.

The flyover is thanks to our new military affairs director. He got us connected to the right people. We can hopefully have a military flyover once a year going forward, but its not guaranteed. There's a lengthy approval process each time.

Glad to hear that about the flyovers. For a school in a city with so many military ties, it makes sense. Also, the F-18 Hornets are really cool jets so that should make for an awesome flyover.

Let's hope the Navy can find the stadium.

From what I heard, the last fly-over found the stadium... the baseball stadium.

If they get the guys from Oceania to fly over, I can imagine them not only finding the stadium but flying as low as they possibly can, maybe do circle around it like they do over lynnhaven mall.

Any flyover under the speed of sound isn't worth it.

Minimum ceiling in neighborhood would be 1000 ft
