Idaho doesn't want to be in the same conference as Idaho St. It wants the Montanas, but not necessarily the Dakotas.

Both Idaho and the Montanas want a California, Oregon and Washington presence.

The proposed Big Sky split will align with Idaho's desires, with mostly high research schools in its division.

"Big North" name is too derivative--Big East is great. Big WEst, Big South less so.

"Great Northern Conference", with J. J. Hill as Commissioner-in-Occultation.

Seriously, I think Portland State and Sacramento State would be targets, as well as Seattle U.

No way all of those FCS schools move up. No way.

It would be an FCS conference in position to be a G5 if the P5 ever split away from the Sun Belt/MAC/CUSA.

The problem with the P5 break away is that they would reject schools like San Jose State. But, I do think they might take a school like UTEP, UTSA, North Dakota State and so forth.
