Tubby got a less talented team in a much stronger conference into the tournament. Depth will be the deciding factor.

Maybe...but that was also a team that learned Tubby's way of doing things for three years. The first thing he has to do is erase at least a year of Pastner from this guys' minds.

I think we'll have a solid season and start turning it on late. We miss the tournament but make the NIT and set the stage for success in the following years.

My thoughts, as well. I don't want my expectations set too high for Tubby's first year.

Are people voting what they "hope" happens or what they think will actually happen? As of this post 98 saying some form of post season and 16 saying none. At this point we have yet to sign anyone under Tubby to my knowledge and have I think 6 scholarship players? What am I missing here? KJ coming off a injury, Dedric may or may not be back depending on the draft and our other top returning players outside of that are:

Crawford 5.1ppg
Marshall 2.8ppg
Martin 2.7ppg

We are going to lack any depth and are counting on this roster to make the NCAA or NIT? Not flaming at all, just can't figure out what all this optimism is based on other than Josh isn't our coach. I think a lot of people are setting themselves up to be very disappointed. I hope I'm wrong though.

I am a sunshine pumper (somewhat).
I voted bust. As of today, 4/30/16, I am most concerned about our small roster and no news/ rumors of recruit signings coming soon.
Hopefully, the roster will look better soon.

I voted bust. I do not see a yawning talent and skill gap (other than Dedric) on our current roster compared to other teams in the AAC and talent level is generally the main determinate for success IMO.

It took six years for a great coach like Marshall to gain his first NCAA win at WSU and three years at TTU before a coach with HOF credentials (Tubby) got into the NCAA Tourney. I do not think it is realistic to heap NCAA or NIT expectations upon Tubby.

I hope I am wrong, obviously.

I voted to make the dance. I'm aware of the holes and I'm aware of the inexperience. Some of these kids have grown up Tigers. They know how to fight like Tigers. They just need to be reminded of that.Once the fans respond and the kids see the renewed support, I am basing my opinion on the hopes of a renewed vigor and effort to at least put themselves in a position to win enough games and look like a team with an agenda when on the court.
