We are no longer the United States of America... We are now just a nation with provinces like Canada..

What's funny is that *THIS* is the flag they are going after

That is the cross of St. Andrew... Someone should tell Scottland their flag is confederate in nature.

That's probably why Ted Cruz is doing so well. He's Canadian.

I think it is a step in the right direction but until reparations are paid the healing process cannot truly begin. It is a nice notion that these flags of hate and racism will no longer be represented in our nation's capital building. We are showing the world that the U.S. is PC and progressive so get on board now or become extinct.

Paid? To whom? And from whom? You're a tool. A good one at that. Looking for another paycheck? Get a job.

We as a nation already have paid out trillions since 1965. The decline since has been disastrous for minorities.

Maryland's should be removed for being offensive to the eyes, as well as Ohio's since they can't get on board and have a rectangular flag like everyone else.

Forget the impeachment of their President. Forget the crumbling of their economy. Forget zika. Forget their treatment of indigenous populations. Forget their high crime rates. Forget that the venues and habitats are well behind schedule.

The reason the USA needs to withdraw from the Rio Olympics, is that it has been exposed that there is a distinct sub-culture of Confederate support within the country.

Obama should go all Jimmy Carter on Brazil and withdraw NOW.

Congress is controlled by Republicans...a Republican led this stupid effort.

If they are going to be Democrats, might as well elect the real thing.

Whenever you Southerners are ready to secede again to leave this decaying corpse, drop me a line. I was born a Yankee but am Southern in spirit.

I've told my Brother... If Texas ever left the union we would crash at his place in San Antonio. I don't think I am a southerner in spirit but I could be a Texan.

My mother wants Texas. I just want a place with great sweet tea, love of God, freedom and states rights. Pennsylvania sure doesn't have it.

We're full up to our craw with yankees in Georgia, thanks. One of my more influential friends has actually considered running for the general assembly on the platform of making all newcomers from up north pay an impact fee. He calls it the yankee tax.

Would he be able to do it? No. Would he get a lot of votes? Hell yes.

I am not a real Yankee, I have no want or desire to change the South. Send all the other Yankees home!

I would definitely vote for that! Impractical as hell, but worth bringing up just to make a point.

I live right on the coast of NC and it constantly amazes me that people move down from up north and say how much better it is here, yet immediately want to change things to make it more like it was where they came from. I think all transplants should have to sign a notarized list of the reasons they wanted to move south and the reason they wanted to leave up north and then be fined every time they contradict the list.
