DeCourcy didn't know about it. Wolken didn't. Locally Smith didn't, and he's supposed to be the beat writer. None of the other local guys did, either.

Parrish called around to other ADs and asked what they thought about the idea of a waiver. Nobody he talked to was apparently aware of the rule change either.

RE: Parrish: "Smith reassigns assist. which could interest NCAA"
Gary and all the 92.9 guys are fantastic at their jobs because they continually get people who hate them to talk about them all the time. 92.9 is the only sports station I listen to and I literally never talk about them as much as the board members who say the can't stand them and that they are so bad. It really is funny

RE: Parrish: "Smith reassigns assist. which could interest NCAA"
So a poster at mt.org knew about a new NCAA rule before Gary Parish a national sports writer who covers college basketball for CBS Sports? Are you kidding me?

I'm sure it will, but he doesn't get a pass for it the rest of his life. I'm certain Parrish would have a field day if a competitor had made a blunder such as this.

nope, but I'll give through the end of the month...he gets a pass.

Not to mention it's sports and not real life. He's not working at the NYTimes covering the Pentagon Papers or Watergate.

We all do the best we can, if Parrish missed a minor rule change that is pending, I can get that.

Let's try to be a little human here.

After every professional and personal attack imaginable on everyone from pastner to other posters it is time to be humane

Lol

No seriously, find the post. You'll only find posts where I basically said critique, but do it respectfully.

Seriously, go look. You want to take a shot, make it accurate.

Kahn is the angriest person on the board. And it's not even close.

As far as I know someone from NBC sports had it first last night, and everyone else knew about it as soon as he posted his column.

I mistakenly said a guy from cbs earlier. You are correct.
