If two schools leave, I'd hope we stay at 12. If 1 leave, invite Ark St and call it a day.

I'd call GSU, ASU, or Louisiana. UTSA has a lot of football potential. Hopefully they invest in basketball because it is terrible as we all know. I keep hearing about a new arena for them and I hope it happens.

I think if we do add another school, we definitely need to bolster the basketball side of things. No matter who we add, it's not going to make getting a piece of the P5 pie any easier when it comes to the postseason. Bowl tie-ins guarantee that we if you win enough games though, you'll get a shot at a post-season...and all but three games are meaningless anyway. However, we could seriously benefit from a good basketball school. I hope the conference takes that into consideration.

I'd like to see Wichita and VCU added. Split into two divisions by performance, not geography, play all 7 in your division home-and-home and have relegation between them. It would be unique, concentrate RPI in the top division, and add some real tention to the battle for last to avoid falling into the UTSA/F-U cesspool.

Wichita is adding football and would be a great addition but I could see the AAC offering them. Would be nice if the AAC added Wichita and UAB. ;-)

In this climate, would they be willing to offer two "start-up" programs?
(We won't look like a start-up, but I know the perception some will have)

We need a solid season under our belts. A bowl game year one would make people take notice. Couple that with an NCAA tournament trip, a football facility, Covered practice field and a new stadium at the BJCC and we are pretty darn attractive.

Why not UMass for football only as a stop gap for scheduling? Expansion isn't great if it just splits the shrinking money pot. We don't even need 12 for a conference championship game anymore.

There seems to be a lot of choices for C-USA if UTEP exits including doing nothing. My favorite replacement school would be GA State which is in Atlanta, a major TV market and the school is on an upward growth curve in its athletic programs - including added facilities. For UAB, it has the potential of a really good future rivalry.

Absolutely we need to bolster the basketball side and hopefully the new school(s) will be EAST of the Mississippi River

Cheapest sport that satisfies Title IX requirements. I remember advocating for gymnastics (popular sport in the South for women that generates some branding) but the obvious problem there is that it directly competes with UAT Gymnastics.
