5 of the 10 MWC Friday Night Games feature Boise State
http://www.fbschedules.com/2016/04/2016-...announced/

One of the "Friday Night Games" is on a Thursday, but that's beside the point.

With the MWC's media deal paying out based on number of national telecasts, this is a big boost for Boise State.

Friday, Sept. 23
Wyoming at Eastern Michigan – 7:30pm, CBSSN

Friday, Oct. 7
Boise State at New Mexico – 9:30pm, CBSSN

Friday, Oct. 14
San Diego State at Fresno State – 10pm, CBSSN

Thursday, Oct. 20
BYU at Boise State – 10:15pm, ESPN

Friday, Oct. 21
San José State at San Diego State – 10:30pm, ESPN2

Friday, Oct. 28
San Diego State at Utah State – 8pm, CBSSN
Air Force at Fresno State – 10:30pm, ESPN2

Friday, Nov. 4
San José State at Boise State – 10:15pm, ESPN2

Friday, Nov. 18
UNLV at Boise State – 9 or 9:30pm, ESPN2

Friday, Nov. 25
Boise State at Air Force – 3:30pm, CBSSN

correct me if I'm wrong- but the CBSSN ones don't count towards the bonus system. So it's only 3 of 5 that Boise is going to be on

The precise moment when CBS stopped treating CBSSN as a network and started treating it as a tax writeoff.

Did the Nielsen folks enlist CBSSN to test their system to see what would happen if literally nobody watched a program?

I presume this landed on CBSSN because The Onion's sports channel wasn't going to be up in time to show it.

CBSSN doesn't subscribe to Nielsen and isn't rated by Nielsen, presumably because the audiences aren't large enough to make it worth what it costs to have Nielsen measure them.

Times (9pm - 10pm) are awful... Yikes

But then again they're on a Friday night so perhaps rating results could be somewhat reasonable. Maybe.

How I hate Friday college football games. I guess the late start won't interfere with high school games? That sucks for them.
Friday nights are for high school football.
Cheers!

They had to fill the programming slot, and EMU was willing to move the game to Friday for CBSSN if they agreed for the broadcast people to buy tickets to the game to replace the 20 ticket sales expected to be lost by having the game on Friday night rather than Saturday afternoon.

It's not a late start, it's just a different time zone. Those games are starting 6-7pm local time.
