Hummmm....a lot further than that. the return is exciting to Birmingham

MPT is a great supporter of UAB. They've also given $2M towards the construction of the new business school.

Drew's made mention that UAB is spacing out donation annoucements to give each donor his/her/its individual moment.

Expect more announcements like this over the coming days and weeks. Many more.

Logic would also seem that the largest donations will be announced last. That way all donations will get proper herald. I wonder if the $500k from Stanford will be recognized?

Uh, did you miss the $500,000 from Alabama Power? And I think there were a couple more that I missed too. Also the $17 million or whatever pledged separately?

Pretty sure they included the Alabama Power, so far 3 companies have publicly committed $500K each to the project, which is 10% of the $15M goal. The $17M is for operational costs not facilities.

Awesome, this makes me feel more confident that it's happening. We've had Lucy pull the football too damn many times.

We are WAY more than 10% and that does not include the 17. Yes that's operational. Just be patient. It's a great day even if some of our own wont admit it.

I don't know what the tax law is regarding the amount donated to a 501©3, but maybe $500k is a limitation for tax purposes considering this money is going to the UAB Athletic Foundation.

Thing to keep in mind is there is a method to the madness of rolling these announcements out. Trust Atalla when he says things are going quite well on the fundraising side
