This would be very interesting times ahead since Boren have been vocal about the Big 12 to expand, turn the LHN into the Big 12 Network and have a CCG too boot. He could whip 7 other schools to vote with him for a majority rule.

I doubt much changes within their conference... OU still in charge over the 7 + 1 dwarfs... UT remains 80 - 90% plus comitted... Meaning, if I don't get what I want I'll take my ball and play elsewhere, UT will say.

Where does UT take their ball though? Independence is the only option since they want to keep their network.

The problem is, the Big 12 are sending mixed signals to everybody out there. We know Boren wants to expand now, a CCG now, and a new Big 12 Network now. We know that the Big 12 commish is a paid puppet for Texas.

yea it is right up there with "Texas screwed up who to add and not add" when it was former Big 8 and OU hand picked interim commissioner Chuck Neinas that was in charge of the Big 12 specifically to decide who to ad and not add to the Big 12 after MU and A&M left

I think that is a Big12 Logo being installed on the turf in Nippert Stadium.

Deloss Dodds and Texas kept Louisville out of the Big 12. No reason to re-write history to fit an agenda.

With that being said, Boren always supported Louisville to The Big 12.

JMHO but The Big 12 better grab Memphis, Cincinnati and Houston before someone else does.

Probably 8 of the 9 schools voted to keep Louisville out because there was no satisfactory #12.

Well, UT pretty much can play anywhere they wish... Question is can the other so called p4 leagues welcome them with open arms?!? UT brings headaches of their own so I'm not quite so sure about that.

I think the more wise $$$ viable solution for UT would be the independent route, IMO.

Best to get them now and build them up. No one better is coming along and left alone they will not improve much on their own. Wait 10 yrs they will be the same take them now and in 10 yrs the will be a vast difference. no one is leaving their p5 conference for the b12.

But there is definitely an argument that IF you do it, do it now before the revenue gap with the new TV deals leaves them further and further behind. It was less than a $10 million gap from the top of the P5/BCS 6 years ago and only a million or so from the bottom schools like WSU. Now the B1G may be $10 million ahead of the rest of the P5 and the bottom of the P5 is nearly $15 million ahead of the top of the G5.
