Prior to last night Cincinnati was ranked #1 in the AAC. We were ranked #6. Not going to get much easier. The AAC is a good baseball conference.

And last season Cincinnati was dead last in the AAC. That gives me hope for a complete turnaround next season.

This is definitely not a good baseball team... a few good young arms that's about it. Not sure why he continues to play Overby at SS. His average is horrible at 167... Hope Rock (which needs to go) is recruiting, he's going to need it!!

Yep and the worst part is the ncaa has leveled the playing field for the small schools in baseball. All schools have the same amount of scholarships and each scholarship player must be on at least 25% which killed the SEC way of 10% and paying for books. Teams like Kent state and Stoney Brooke have made the CWS in the last 5 years while we might win 19 games this season with a hotbed of talent within 30 minutes drive of campus.

RE: Baseball Vs. Cincy series
Nice road-win (despite missing several starters due to stomach virus) against the AAC's #1 team - led all the way, thanks to two home runs in the 2nd inning and outstanding pitching by our only senior starting pitcher. Our 3 home runs were the first that UC pitcher has given up this year.
http://www.gotigersgo.com/news/2016/4/24...2-win.aspx
The team's goals now are to (1) finish the regular season no lower than 5th in the conference in order to draw a winnable seed in the AAC tournament and (2) to continuing developing our young players to the point of being competitive by that time. Both are doable and I will be in Clearwater, FL to see how they do. It is going to be a very exciting tournament which practically every AAC team has a chance to win. Really looking forward to it - my beachfront condo is already reserved.
