That was my thought exactly, except I did include Whitney Houston in the already deceased category. I think she was born after those three.

I liked Prince. He was very eccentric. But he was himself and never allowed himself to be caught up in foolish scandals. May he rest in peace.

After all these years, I learned Prince was his first real name? I thought it was a stage name.

Prince never seemed to worry about what would sell, he made music he liked and some of that didn't sell well but he never bought into the corporate use a computer to vomit out something that sound like your last hit thing.

Not just for himself, he wrote songs for others.

Sugar Walls- Sheena Easton

Nothin' Compares 2 U- Sinead O'Conner

Kiss- Art of Noise and Tom Jones

Manic Monday- The Bangles

I Feel For You-Chaka Kahn

When You Are Mine-Cyndi Laupar

Love Song- Madonna

Pray- MC Hammer

Stand Back- Stevie Nicks

The Bird- Morris Day and The Time

The Glamorous Life- Shelia E.

Jungle Love- Morris Day and The Time

A Love Bizarre- Shelia E. and Prince

Nasty Girl- Vanity 6

Round and Round- Tevin Campbell

The Belle of St. Mark- Shelia E.

Jerk Out- Morris Day and the Time

Don't Say You Love Me- Martika

Some Kind of Lover- Apollonia 6

You're My Love- Kenny Rogers

With This Tear- Celine Dion

Waiting Room- No Doubt

He wrote songs for Jill Jones, Madhouse, The Family, Deborah Allen, El DeBarge, Paula Abduhl, Patti Labelle, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Joe Cocker, Carmen Electra, Earth Wind and Fire, George Clinton and many others. He is a genius that his music cross all boundaries including a song on the country music charts.

A true OG. No one can be him, no one can replace him. A true original.

Purple Rain Soundtrack was the first tape I ever got.

And that Charlie Murphy skit never gets old...never...

Prince's death coverage totally removed all the election coverage from the news networks.

A gift from god.
