Just kidding. Although we knew that, we appreciate you looking out for us to ensure we don't flub it up !
I'm looking very forward to getting to know Dr. Hebert on a personal level, as this fall I'll begin my year tour as the Alumni Association president. I've already heard very good things about him and the word on the street is he is very supportive of athletics.

Nothing a good ole baptism in the creek won't fix.

He's going to need a double-dunk baptism!
Can't get the gumbo out of the system by dunking. At best you'll marginally dilute it.

I can already see the headline in the GeorgeAnne: "New President changes the Annual Watermelon Cutting Festival to a Crawfish Boil"

And the fans go wild! Unfortunately, the crawfish ran out too soon due to the influx of Cajuns who heard about a previously unknown crawfish festival.

Did I know this? Congratulations! Couldn't think of a better person in that position.
Edit: Having spent time in NOLA I knew how to pronounce his name and I have been yelling at the radio because I've heard them say "hee-bert" on numerous occasions.

Lol....nola is about the only one with even more different names to pronounce than Lft.
When I lived there in 90's I lived on Burgundy st.....and to the locals that is pronounced burr-GUN-dee. When I moved back to Lafayette i was buying a recliner and asked if it came in burr-GUN-dee leather. Luckily he knew, but inwas still pretty red faced, lol.

Always had a soft spot in my heart for Louisiana and especially Bachelor and Old River, which I visited a number of times as a kid.
This because we had some stone cold real coon asses as friend when I wasd growing up. We all camped and rode dirt bikes. Not sure how they ended up in South Carolina (where I'm from), just remember the dad was a party animal who loved Doug Kershaw and would get so hammered he'd try to fly over picnic tables.

Everyone?
I'm neutral. Hope he does a good job. At least he's not from Ohio. :)

Lol...thanks. But just for the record, we should be referred to as 'Cajuns.' That other term will get you in hot water in (maybe not all, but) a lot of quarters. Cajuns is just as easy and offends no one who is one. ?

Or a Berkley liberal like the one they had three presidents ago.
