I'm soooo glad he is gone. Same old tired narrative. Made it sound like he inherited a program in ruins because there were only 4 scholarship players on board when he took over. Still seems hard headed and controlling in his statement about his assistants. He also seems to be preparing everyone for the eminent underachieving that is to come.

JP still getting killed here in the Atlanta area over his "golf" remarks. One guy, John Kincaid on 680 the Fan, which has a segment sponsored by the "Green Card" just wouldn't let it go. Green Card is a discount ticket to play some of the better golf courses around metro Atlanta. Said he was going to invite JP to the annual 680 golf benefit for some charity here, "call him out publicly". Went on to say how shallow the comments were, intended to communicate what a tireless worker he was but said what it really communicated was how up tight he was & apparently how JP had no ability to relate to real life. Buck Belue then said, "we're going to have to get JP to learn how to loosen up, enjoy life, maybe do his family a favor at the same time".

Seems JP just thought Memphis environment was tough.
