Didn't PJ have an offer out to Sweat at one point? Assume Craig Evans will go to another Power 5 program, but would be great to lure him to Kzoo. He'd dominate the MAC.

It would be awesome to score one of those transfers.

RE: DT Evans and DE Sweat leaving MSU
Both had lots of trouble at MSU for team rules violations. Not really the type of players you want for a team. Plus they would have to sit out a year for transfer. I doubt they could make it work in Kalamazoo...

Guys like that can wreak havoc on a team's chemistry.

You can win with them, but you can lose with them too.

Got a good thing going here, don't need them.

Please, we ran for 53 magnificent yards against MSU's d-line, on only 14 carries! We don't need their castoffs!!

And, what Major said.

Oh, I wasn't aware of their behavioral problems at MSU. If that's the case, I'm fine with passing on them.

I was really hoping that we would score a DT/NT transfer, preferably 5th year senior, who could help bolster the middle of the line. Could still happen I suppose.

Could we use their talent? Yes.

However, MSU's program does not have the off-field culture standards most MAC programs, including WMU, have.

WMU is not desperate. I would rather lose with high standards, than win with low ones.

Evans has also already burned his redshirt year so if he wants to play should look at DII.

Evans was getting playing time, so it had to be a behavioral thing with him. I wouldn't be surprised to see PJ give them a second chance. He has shown he is willing to do that, but they don't usually last long.
