RE: Flooding
man, last month we got really lucky here in Memphis and barely dodged the insane totals...and even then still had 7-10" in a few day span. The South has just been slammed all spring this year.

Yes, we're expecting more rain but not as bad as was early Monday morning, many Houston areas received 1ft. - 10ft. of water... It was absolutely frightening for many families, I must say.

RE: Flooding
Sorry, I should have done this sooner..............

Father, I lift up the city of Houston and its people to you. I ask that you put them under your protective arms and keep them from further harm, damage, and danger in the next few days ahead. I ask that you lead the city's administration, police, fire, and other assistance and emergency crews as they continue to attend to those in need and those in danger.

I ask that you continue to energize those emergency crews, those feeding and caring for the displaced, and those attending people in need.

I pray that you clear the sky, clear the drains, and clear the required ares so that those in need can be properly attended to. I pray that you multiply the rescue worker's energy, multiply the funds on hand and those funds given, and multiply the generosity of the hearts of those that can give money, time, and resources so that those requiring assistance are helped, restored and able to return to a normal life in a time frame that only You can provide.

I ask all of these things in your son, Jesus' name.......Amen.

Back off man. My brother had a 1972 Opel GT. We put a new transmission in it in the dorm parking lot. Nothing like a peach coke from the dairy whip while working on crappy german cars.

I was out and about today but it wasn't too bad. It rained for about an hour. But let me tell you...when it rains here...it RAINS!

How funny that I left the cool of Ohio only to see warm warm there and experience cool here.

Thanks Westhoff, I should have done that before yesterday. My apologies for being late.

I know this may seem like a nit, but it's not to me......I'm not really religious, but I am a Christian. My wife gives me a hard time about being so stubborn about making that distinction, but I see a big difference in the 2 terms.

Hopefully this doesn't create a stir and rash of objections. I'll simply delete this post if it does because that isn't the intent.

Like as in biblical. A verily he smote the houstontines with their bedazzaled orrhodontics. And low the urine smell was cleansed from the 3rd ward and it was good.
