Whatever happened w/ the backup UNC QB, who was going to transfer here ( per scuttlebutt from his girlfriend) if he didn't win the starting job by his sophomore year? I believe it was Caleb Henderson out of Lake Braddock. Looks like he is still backing up Trubinsky going into his sophomore year. He also follows Drew Dudzik on Twitter. Would have been a nice get.

Don't forget we still have Cole Johnson coming in as well. I know that nobody would ever guess he's a football player in a tank top but don't sleep on him. Tom Brady looked the same way. I don't care what a guy looks like, it's about production.

I never have success with the search function on this board but my memory tells me he accepted his offer from JMU after all the offers had been accepted. There was a wink wink nod nod Bourne style that whenever a new head coach comes in there is player turnover that would lead to scholarship openings. ---- I do not have first hand knowledge, just what I remember from other posters. I do remember that I looked into the timeline back around signing day and his visit/twitter announcement was made the weekend before singing day which agrees with the story that all offers had been accepted by the time he accepted.

Hope he makes it to camp and earns a schollie. Be a shame to lose him and DJ Daniels out of our recruiting class.

Sorry for being the COA police guys but if Kier goes to UVA it has nothing to do with COA. When JMU starts losing recruits to football/athletic peers or lesser programs because of COA that's another thing. COA or no COA if UVA or VaTech get involved with an athlete the athlete is going to choose those schools. No shame in that.

VPI&SU is totally a lesser school/program/place/people/women/etc...

I have far more disdain for any and everything UVA related than VT. JMU is much more like VT than UVA. VT is just a larger version of JMU that plays in the ACC.

UVA are a bunch of arrogant ass-hats who look down on anything that is not UVA.

You watched many UVA or Tech games recently? If not, they're not very good.

I wonder if Daniels and Kier departing (if he is) make some room for the other Patrick brother who was committed to Army, the UVA transfer defensive end, and him. Keep in mind that many of our scholarships are partials in FCS so there's more flexibility. At FBS it's all or nothing unless I misunderstand the rule. I think we can slice and dice our 63.

it was a zinger aimed at the admin dude, chill out. I am not naive enough to think that when uva and vt come to the table, it's all but our time to exit.

point is, it won't be long until we start losing real recruits because of our political stance on 50-100k (depending on what theory you subscribe to) in additional annual expenses. the first lost recruit to towson is going to absolutely sting.
