From a coaching standpoint, I understand it was time for a change but he repped our city well and there has never been a hint of problems with the NCAA. Fan and admin support is needed to get us back on track. We are now Tubby's Tigers so "let it go"! (I hate that song).

You can neg point me if you want, it is still my opinion you look silly ripping on him now that he is gone. I said his presser also. There were NO major infractions in 7 years. I am supporting what is in place now.

I never had a problem with people criticizing Pastner over something that was relevant, but the message board monkeys on this site would some how make the shirt that Pastner had on the cause of a loss.

Unfortunately for out of towners this is the only way to get team information.

It'll fade. Why do you care? Everyone 'moves on' at their own pace.

Tubby hasn't hired a staff or coached a game yet. It'll be a process to fumigate the program. Whether it's better or not remains to be seen. Many are hopeful, some are skeptical.

It was always like on national geographic where the natives blamed disease on jungle spirits. In the absence of knowledge irrelevant items are latched onto as the reason for poor performance.

Should institute a dress code, that will help them win. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Probably the only way to get the commitment.

If I was a prospect and the coach I was going to commit to was in danger of leaving and I had no idea who the new coach would be I would have demanded the same clause.

Morgan Park point guard Charlie Moore, the No. 1 recruit in Illinois’ senior class and the 2016 Mr. Basketball of Illinois winner, has reopened his recruitment after Memphis coach Josh Pastner accepted the same position at Georgia Tech.

Moore said he is both excited and saddened by the development.

“I’m back to square one,” Moore said. “He had to do what is best for him and his family, so I can’t complain. I’m just taking it in stride. I don’t have a timeframe yet.”

The 6-foot Moore announced his decision to attend Memphis in a press conference on Nov. 12, but he did not sign a national letter of intent that day.

Moore signed four days later when Memphis added a clause to the contract that would let him out of it in the event of a coaching change.

Schools cannot contact Moore until he receives his official release, but that appears to be a mere formality.

“My mom just got a call from the AD (Tom Bowen),” Moore said. “I should be cleared soon. In the contract it says that if Josh Pastner leaves, I get an automatic out.”
