How do you choose between Tyler Harris and Alex Lomax? Can they play together?

Lomax is way better. TH is good but he does not show a lot of PG skills. He is a better shooter than A-LO but not a better player.

It's interesting to be sure - the four East guys kind of like Laurinburg - getting chemistry and experience together before DI basketball.

Good point. Tubby may have came in just in time for another Tiger run. We are good for one each decade. Lol

Add a few nationally elite kids to those and you're pretty good. Of course they must fit his style. Which I think most do. Hard working dawgs. Tough.

The talent coming up is crazy. The East player plus DJ alone can be an awesome team. One or two bigs added can be a Final Four team.

No doubt. I was just thinking about all the good D1 players that are starting and or playing meaningful minutes just since the 2013-2015 classes.

CJ Anderson
Chiozza
Black (before injury )
Pryor
Josh Jones
Chris McNeal
Davell Roby
Nick Smith
Marlon
Curtis (wshs)

So many others. Not to mention ones at D2-3 or not even playing. Memphis should be competitive EVERY year even if it just relied on local kids. This tubby thing is exciting.

another thing that interests me

tubby and texas recruiting - there are some really really high level kids coming out of texas (dallas more specifically) in 2017 and 2018 - I wonder if Tubby will keep Texas ties strong in that area to give us some inroads. much easier to recruit from Dallas to Memphis than Lubbock, I'd imagine?

Something that's always perplexed me. Why did we never get Houston area recruits under Josh? I mean his dad is kind of a big geal down there. Correct?

Houston produces great talent.

Where is the next Lorenzen? The next Penny? The next Perry? Been a really long time since the city produced a truly transformative player.

Not unless he has learned how to dribble the ball. Of course he has had a whole off year to work on it so he should have corrected that problem by now.
