RE: 2016-17 Men's Soccer Schedule
As usual, looks difficult.

Clemson finished 3rd last season. Just an exhibition game against them.

Louisville finished 24th, but also an exhibition game.

I have never understood the concept of three exhibition games. Lots of chances for injuries before the real games even start.

UAB went 5-11 last season, and were ranked 126th. I can't remember when UAB soccer struggled that much.

Exhibitions or scrimmages can be valuable to see how your team performs against an opponent that you haven't practiced against.

Yes, there is a chance for injuries but you can play a variety of players & experiment with a variety of lineups.

Sometimes it is hard to have enough players to try and scrimmage within just the team.

(just my observations as an assistant coach for 3 seasons for my daughter's soccer team)

Still can question the 3 exhibition games versus 2 games though. Seems like 2 would be sufficient.

Clemson has become an annual, home & home exhibition opponent.
