I read they're zeroing in on Goff, not Wentz

I was thinking it was Goff when they made the trade. The Rams are moving back to LA and it makes for nice marketing to earn the local fans hearts to trade up and draft the California quarterback. But the Rams farted around with all the picks from the Redskins trade and more but had the Bradford conundrum and then they actually fooled someone into taking him but never really replaced him. Now they've done too good of a job drafting non-quarterbacks since the current regime took over and they can't afford to keep them all but they don't have a quarterback. It's rather fascinating to me (probably much less so if I were a Ram's fan) to see how it all played out over the years. It's like winning a big hand in poker and then just posting blinds and folding since then. Too afraid to play a hand you aren't confident in and you waste too much time that you get desperate as you run out of chips and have to make a move just to stay in the game and pray it works or you're done.

Full disclosure, I really like Goff as a pro quarterback. I think if he can sit for a year and get bulked up then he'd really excel at the NFL. He's already accurate and throws a great deep ball. He can read defenses and the pass rush doesn't rattle him, which is extremely rare. I'm not an expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt, just that I'd be pumped if Goff was my quarterback.
