Agree, but you're really looking at role players to fill out the roster in the late period - maybe find a starter. More likely to find a starter on the grad market.

For all intents and purposes, Dedric and KJ are getting max minutes. Unless something goes horribly wrong.

The questions are C, SG, and PG - most think Markel will start as a senior at SG.

Will the two sophs claim the starting C and PG - not sure.

But at this point - you aren't signing any top 100 high school kid UNLESS you get lucky with Fisher or Moore.

So, the only bets are evaluating the grad trans market, the JC market and the lower rated unsigned HS player market and determining who fits into the roster best.

Short story of it all: who complements Dedric next year and/or who projects well for the next few years.

yeah i think there's a couple of ways to go with this
1) get as many grads as you can, try to win as many games as possible with dedric, then try to reload the next year and year after with memphis classes and surrounding area

2) sign a couple of grads but do some scouting and bring in a couple of role player from HS who will be here for four years and give yourself a foundation to build upon next year and the upcoming classes

3) say F the player revolving door that is grad transfer (unless they are 2 year eligibility) and just get guys who can fill roles and be a foundation for a legit run 3ish years from now

RE: All of TTech's bball offers
I think you do a mix - you have 6 open scholarships.

2 instant impact grad transfers.
1 JC best available type
1 high level DI transfer to sit out a year
1 late HS kid, maybe 2 if things break differently

Some mix like that so that you have better breakdown in the classes from freshman to senior AND so that a few of those short term guys come off the books before the 2018/2019 classes.

How many open scholarships did Texas Tech have? Maybe slim pickings due to limited schollies?

I don't want us to take any of their incoming players.

How much did we rail on Calipari for that? Let's not be hypocrites.

I never railed on Cal for that. A player should be allowed to go with the coach

Tubby was supposed to visit Rodas this weekend (when he was still TT HC) so I wonder if he'll reach out to him.

Yeah, I think the issue was the way he did it. He hung around the program pretending like he was torn on his decision. That way he could keep talking to the recruits.
