Regional Projections (Week of 4/11)
College Baseball Daily has us in the Ole Miss (#4 National seed) regional as a #2 seed. Southeastern Louisiana and Oral Roberts round out that regional.

It is paired with the Southern Miss regional that contains ULL, Missouri St, and Kennesaw St.

A lot of people don't even think Ole Miss will host, never mind be a national seed.

Obviously still tons of time for changes but its fun to discuss.

RE: Regional Projections (Week of 4/11)
d1 baseball on Rice being a regional host:

Quote:Rice is something of a place-holder pick; we expect the best team in Conference USA to host, so if Southern Miss can maintain its current two-game lead in the C-USA standings and win the regular season title, we like its chances. But right now Rice holds an edge thanks to its No. 1 nonconference strength of schedule — and because it is Rice. We’ve learned long ago never to bet against the Owls winning their conference, until somebody proves they can take down the champs.

That's a fair assessment.

I'd also really like to see CUSA teams in three different super brackets, although you can't normally expect that unless all are regional 1 seeds.

Bsaeball America has Rice as a 2-seed in the Lubbock Regional (#5 TTech), with New Mexico and Southeast Missouri St

Baseball America is all over the place - in their Apr 6 Field of 64, they had TTech as a #2 at the Houston Regional; a week later, they have them hosting as the #5 National Seed.....

That's what happens when you go 8-0 in a week against top 5 competition....oh wait.

In reality, TT split with FSU and swept a no longer ranked OKSt. They beat SHSt twice this week so their national seeding will likely go up.
