That is awesome--Burrell! One of the player types I hoped would be signed, a long forward/wing. I guess he can shoot, if you look at the 3 fg %. Anyone had time to analyze the stats, yet?

P.S. For old time's sake, it's great to see another 6'6 player who won't be ETSU's center by default.

Looks good on that description - but don't they all. (And I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer; it's just that one never knows.)

He had multiple offers from other mid-majors and one major, I think that is a good sign. I'm not trying to knock the guys who just left but as far as I know they didn't have offers from other schools when they came out of JUCO. That said I think this a great first signee of the offseason.

Sounds like a great addition and fills a role as a versatile, tough, athletic wing who also defends. I was hoping we could replace some of Deuce's athleticism and defense. Burrell sounds like he fits that mold.

Wow. In addition to us Payne was offered by Cincinnati, Memphis & Northern Iowa. Forbes killed it today. We still have two more left to go!

Something is telling me this may start to be the norm for Forbes' recruits in the future. He and his staff seem to be unbelievably connected in this profession.

Start to be the norm? Pretty sure the ETSU norm started last year, and it's always been Forbes' norm as a recruiter. No disrespect to you, my friend. I am ecstatic about these high quality signings! We don't have to wait 4 months just to wonder who the best athletes left are! Forbes is signing the best athletes he can with skills, right now!

i don't even have time to waste on missing Bello now. Burrell is everything Bello was but longer, better, and with twice as many years for ETSU. (Always gonna love & remember the Deuce, though, with a special place for him as one of Forbes' first ETSU recruits.) And I still have to catch up on Payne, OMG! What a day!

In the words of the immortal Fats Waller, "One never knows. Do one?"

Sure sounds promising, though.

This is the kind of guy we need to play between quick smaller guards and big post players. The kind of guy who might, in particular, help defend Tre Mclean and Casey Jones.

YES...Was thinking the same thing. McClean & Jones gave us fits.

Payne was 13th in nation (D1 JUCO) in scoring at an efficient 51% clip:

3rd team JUCO All-American's Jalen Riley and T.J. Cromer hit the SoCon like a bomb.

Wonder how a 2nd team JUCO All-American will do?
