RE: 2016 Coaches Caravan
If this is a home and home i'm a little surprised that we would start the series at the Ted. We are on cycle to have Ric, VCU and W&M all at home this year. I would think we would want to balance that out.

Richmond will be on the road again this year to try to balance it back out.

Agree Mac. I don't like JMU either, but they'll draw a crowd (perfect opponent to get 6,000 over winter break) and usually aren't RPI killers. Not that they often help RPI, but if it means we one less guarantee game against a UMES or Mount St. Mary's, I'm all for it.

2015-2016 final RPI in bold

That along with the Battle4Atlantis is not a bad OOC schedule if you ask me... Dartmouth is a dud but we have 2 in the top 100, and JMU's RPI is higher than ours right now. Richmond GSU and Towson aren't looking that great but they're not god awful either. I think we win most of the OOC games were supposed to and we could possibly win a game in the B4A. Then again I thought we were going to win the CUSA outright and make it to the NCAA tourney around this time last year, so we'll see lol 04-cheers

Jeff also announced that JMU will be the home opener. Friday night game. Should be a nice way to start the season at the Constant Center.

Oooooooh.

I like the sound of that. Gonna have to see if some of my JMU friends can make it.

We don't get to play them instead of North Texas. If you want to make the case that playing in the CAA would be more enjoyable than CUSA, I would be inclined to agree with you, but in the non conference I would like to see us play someone from the A10, and definitely would like to see some teams that are not in the CAA or MEAC. We haven't had a really compelling home game in some time, and it seems like the staff is just picking low hanging fruit. You don't garner much respect playing a full slate of CAA games out of conference. Beyond that, we aren't even playing any of the good ones.

We had compelling home non conference home games just last year.

OK, those are fine, then get rid of Towson. Out of all the teams mentioned in this thread, we get maybe two decent home matchups per year and maybe two or three in conference.

Apparently 2 home games for ODU, 1 for JMU. Nice, though as a Valley resident, I'd like to see ODU travel here more.

No problem playing in state CAA teams, just not all of them in the same season :)

Throw in a nice tournament and a couple of P5 teams, it would make for a nice schedule.
