RE: Year 1 AB: 2016-17 Schedule
Schedule feels like a throwback to the late AE years. Just blah.
I have no expectations for the team and no idea what to think about the roster.
Did anyone notice Bashir won the NEC regular season and stole a win in the NIT? IMO puts him ahead of Bru for this point in his career.

Bru went to the NCAA tournament the first two years as a head coach - then to the NIT 5 of the next 9 years, so he didn't have a bad start. It was the 1 appearance in the last 9 years that did him in.
It did take him 16 years to win a NIT game and finish first in the league so in that regard Bash certainly beat him (although the NEC is not quite the same as the A10 or CAA)
I agree that the schedule is pretty meh, but I guessing we won't be making an argument for an at-large so it is probably not that big of a deal. Looking at the guards, we have Mojica, two guys who really haven't played in two years, and three freshmen, easing in might not be such a bad approach. Perhaps it is an opportunity to get some wins and confidence early on.
On a purely selfish note, if going to out of the way places like North Texas are on the table, I would like to suggest a game at the U of Montana in Missoula next year. I'll guarantee at least 4 Drexel fans at the game.

Bru went to the NCAA tournament the first two years as a head coach... with Cal's players... and lost...
