thank goodness. what the wbb program needs is to remain consistent and who better to help do that than Sean. a no-brainer hire and I'm glad to see them get it done.

Great. I was hoping they wouldn't screw this up but had my doubts.

Next step is to have Coach O fill out the staff and get recruiting. Glad to see he got the job, would have been very disappointed if he did not!!

If only we used the money from paying JB's buddy to "consult" toward COA. This was an easy hire that shouldn't have taken so long or wasted money. I am done donating to these bags of dlicks.

Is it? We hired a consultant to help us "secure" O'Regan. Seems like a waste.

It seems like we go around and around on this issue every time. There are valid reasons to hire the consultants that have nothing to do with finding the hidden gem. It's a free country and all that but it would nice if every thread didn't have to be a "bash the admin cuz be don't have COA" thread.

Took 'em long enough. And they hired a consultant exactly WHY? To tell them to do what they KNEW they were gonna do anyway? What a waste of money that could have been better spent elsewhere! ~smdh~

Are there valid reasons? Absolutely. The fact it was JBs buddy irritates the shlt out of me. First they delayed in "hiring" a consultant. Then after he was "consulted" a coach was picked. If this was done properly I would be ok with it.

Why aren't consultants given an interview like coaches are? They can hire me for a six pack and told them Coach O was the obvious choice!

All of our donations just went to JB giving his buddy a reach around. I'm F'ing done. If this happens anywhere else there would be penalties and potential shltcans.

Why wasn't a consultant hired immediately after KB left?

JB can give his friends his own money, not mine.

Even if COA is philosophical, it was a waste of JMU money. Convo could be built if JB wasn't giving JMU money to his buddies.

It seems I'm not the only person who shares this opinion.

My issue is that we spent more on this consultant than we were willing to offer Kenny in a salary increase. I don't understand that logic.

We paid a consultant to hire a guy we've known for over 15 years. He was also a no brainer of a hire.

Wanton waste permeates JMU athletics, and they play the pauper card.

To try to stay positive, I'm ecstatic about the hire. Great video showing the players' connection to him.

That video was great, and Sean is the perfect coach to replace Kenny.

Completely agree. Video was great. You could feel the connection with the players. Glad he is here. I just want other to notice the fraud and wasted time that took us to get here.

If we promoted from within without looking outside first, you guys would claim we settled and didn't show any vision in finding the best candidate. There's a negative narrative to everything. In this case, you all should be ecstatic the guy you wanted to get the job got the job but it's more and more complaining. Why bother rooting for JMU if everyone there and every team makes you angry?
