Toungue Breaking New!
Former hated president, former hated AD and now former hated coach are all NTR and completely out of the picture. Bowen and Rudd have redeemed themselves with exiting a badly crafted contract thereby saving millions of salary obligations.

Can we pick a date to agree there is no longer a need to insert hate speech for said trio in every unrelated thread.
Take a deep breath.
Release all that negitive energy.
Recognize that addiction to hopelessness can be overcome.
Embrace the hope that is our future.
Enjoy life and Tiger BB again.

We have moved on!

I hardily endorse this post, although I predict it will go unheeded.

Hated?

While there was in reality a gross over reaction to falling short of elite...hate is ridiculous.

But in line with the hyperbolic over reactions coming from Nasal, a huge amount of posters on this board, and radio hacks.

Heading in to this last season I thought if the team did not improve on the prior one it would be a reasonable time to make a change. As it turns out, we will be, even if procedurally it was awkward.

Moving on. Will be interesting if our powers that be do try and lure a heavy name like Marshall. This four year run, with the two guards was great for Wichita State, and they actually have the infrastructure to remain very competitive. But not as much in place as Memphis. Much of that was hidden here as fans quit on the team in droves during the 14-15 season, but we are a major team with proven potential of vast fan support...when winning really big.

Less comfortable with the idea of duplicating the football style search. We do not need to find the off the radar up and comer. Even with the two down seasons after four consecutive NCAA runs, we are still a major program more than capable of finding a popular name...and more importantly, good coach...right now.

I agree completely. That was definitely the way to go for the football hire. Not so much basketball.

This is different than football. But we are not a big enough name to hire just anyone away. There are a lot more schools who did't get the basketball coach they wanted than those that did. This may be a humbling experience for us.
