People should stop with the Gregg Marshall stuff. Dude has a billionaire in his back pocket and no pressure.

I agree. He might go to a "blue blood" program when they open but is just playing the game keeping his name out there. He strung Alabama a long last year and declined at the last minute.

I guess you know him personally? Katz, Wolken and other media members who DO know him has tweeted possible interest.

I agree. Some folks like to remain bitter.

Hi josh Pastner! Go home to hotlanta and start your new aliases on their board. Looks like they already hate you over there.

RE: I f We Were To Land Marshall....
I think our chances of getting Marshall or some other proven commodity type of coach with Bowen running point are as good as any other team which HAS made a similar hire in the last couple of years -- think Texas or Oklahoma State. They both have more money from conference affiliation and donors, but we have a better basketball situation.

If you're a high profile basketball coach who wants to win at the highest level and you have the choice of Memphis now or whatever position might become available in the next year or two, what do you say when Bowen calls and wants to get a number from you? I think you roll the dice and give him a number. And if he meets it, well, we'll run this celebration thing on out into football season.

04-cheers
