Hopefully this doesn't mean they're going straight to a search firm, though, since that would pretty much solidify Marshall & Williams, etc., aren't listening to offers.

It is AD speak. If they have plans to go after Marshall or whoever they will have the right people on it. Hopefully this a second chance to make a first impression and get it right.

Plus, It would be pointless. He's not going anywhere. The next coach will most likely keep him on in some capacity to keep the kids. He wouldn't leave and take his kids and have them sit out a year. If he would, then so be it.

did you miss 'interim'? Dickey was interim football coach between Fuente and Norvell...it's more honorary title.

How can an interim guy recruit if he's not going to be the coach or maybe even on staff? It's not going to be very long before they name a new coach so there's no need for an interim guy.
