I think Pastner is truly a class act but the situation had become too toxic... I think this is best for everyone involved!!!

The right players can rebuild a college basketball team/program quickly. We just just rid of our biggest rebuilding obstacle.

Next year at best will be about like this year and could be worse.

After that it all depends on who we hire.

Hopefully we make a hire that can bring 2-3 players with them.

Why try to predict what's going to happen next year? Be happy he's gone that should be enough for at least one day.

There is no buyout. We're not really firing him by the terms of the contract. Technically it costs Josh 500k to buy out the contract. But we're probably going to pay him something to grease the skids a little. Maybe not the whole difference between his salary here and there, but at least some of it.

We're more or less forming a new contract to facilitate him taking his new job because both parties want to get out of the old contract.
