Rick Pitino says Louisville's NCAA investigation 'pretty much over...
Now the only thing we are waiting for us the Notice of Allegations from the NCAA...Since Chuck Smrt is running our side of the investigation hopefully what they done is good enough for a eligible NCAA Tournament next year...

I assume the NCAA has interviewed Rick? Ready to get this dark cloud behind us.

The investigation may be over but it's not clear that the NCAA will agree that the self-sanctioning that Louisville has already done is enough punishment. I'm not saying there should be more punishment. I'm just saying this case hasn't been put to bed. If the NCAA finds Loss of Institutional Control, there's likely to be more punishment. If the NCAA finds that Pitino was negligent, he'll get some punishment.

Just to give you guys some background as a measurement, they hit SU with a lack of institutional control, and still found SU's one year self ban to be sufficient, although they did take away over 100 wins from JB and took 12 scholarships away. They later restored 4 scholarships. Its never good when you have those guys snooping around as they always seem to find additional claims. I just hope that petty little man who goes by the name Oliver North is not part of the investigation, as Louisville ended up in the conference that he really wanted to be in.

Oh...I fully expect further punishments...just saying it appears the investigation part is now over. Plus I can't see how a Lack of Institutional Control isn't part of the punishment. The vibe around the program is more loss of scholarships and a long Pitino Suspension..we should find out for sure hopefully by August/September timeframe.

If Ollie North was part of the investigation I'd say SU got off pretty easy considering he had the full weight of the National Security Council behind him.

It's not like Oliver Luck hasn't been around self imposed sanctions Himself.

Well what do you know? Whos watching those who are supposed to do the watching?
On the other hand, I wonder why WV fans are always reading this board. Anytime some one mentions them in any kind of way, they always have to comment on it within a few hours. Hhhmmmm?

Unless a bomb from nowhere drops, there is no chance we get another post season ban. Pitino will probably sit some games, and we may lose another scholarship, but that is it. Multi year bans just do not happen anymore.

Let's just hope that the "Coach Mike" bomb is a dud.
