The pitch went something like this:

Memphis: Hey, we're in one of those rollover anchor contract situations like you had with Hewitt.
GT: Yea that sucks. We're looking for a HC at the moment, any suggestions?
Memphis: We'll pay you to take ours. We escape some of the buyout, Pastner gets "extended" and makes more money if you go with a 6 year contract, and you save tons of money on payroll you can use to pay off Gregory and Hewitt.
GT: Cash money?
Memphis: Cash money.
GT: I guess I'm your kind of whore.

GTS I feel for you. My brother is a GTech grad, so have followed your program.

I really don't think you know how bad this is going you be. Pastner could load the schedule here and still post a hollow winning record. He won't be able to do that in the ACC.

If Josh hires an competent X/O coach and stays out of his way and hires one of the big AAU guys in Atlanta to bring players, GT will be okay.

If by OK you mean consistent failure to meet expectations. Then yes. They'll be ok.

And hell they'll even graduate the 3 players in 5 years that don't transfer. And the developed grads will be nicely developed for DUKE to jump in and take. #apr
