I never believed any of this mess was Bowen's choice. He was new, Raines wanted out, she didn't give a hoot about sports, and signed the craziest college basketball contract ever.

Still don't think you make a coach whole who decides to leave...

Yes we will supplement, but getting paid the full 2.6 Mill is crazy. Pastner has to give something up.

You would think so and I would hope so but based on his contract he does not have to... He might be willing to take a little less but he will not be taking a substantial pay cut.

If you see Bowen waiting until 4/15, then we might be going after Pearl, his buyout lowers after that date.

He's plucked clean the pigeons here and gets to move on to some fresh ones.

Good job Mr. Bowen

If this information is accurate then you'd have to believe that AD Bowen has also been in contact with and has an idea of perspective replacements.

First, "Thread Title of the Year" Candidate ...

Second, no way we go after Pearl with the B12 stuff brewing. If they didn't want to outright fire Pastner because of the potential impact (which is the rumored theory), do you think going to all this trouble to set him up for a clean "move" to just turn around and hire Pearl would make sense ?

According to sources, Memphis will pay the difference of Pastner's GT contract and his Memphis contract for 2 years and then they are done.
