I can beat that. Imagine this ACC:

ACC Atlantic
Florida State
Clemson
Louisville
NC State
Wake Forest
Syracuse
Boston College

ACC Coastal
Georgia Tech
North Carolina
Miami
Pitt
Duke
Virginia
Virginia Tech

...or if you want to dream:

ACC
Florida State
Clemson
Virginia Tech
Maryland
Syracuse
Boston College
Wake Forest
NCSU
Georgia Tech
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Penn State
Miami
Pitt
Duke
Virginia

RE: Imagine this ACC
I don't think we need 3 teams in Texas. If we need to add a second to get Texas that would be ok. I would not give up on Oklahoma with or without Oklahoma State. If you add 2 Texas and 2 Oklahoma teams you would have to cut one of Cincinnati, West Virginia or Uconn. Cincinnati as access to the Ohio markets seems obvious. I would pick Uconn over WV. Their hate for BC would make for some good rivalries.

RE: Imagine this ACC
I know it's old fashioned but I don't want to see the ACC expanding to Texas. It just doesn't make sense and there would never be any real rivalry with Pitt. I get the money thing but it wouldn't interest me personally. If the ACC ever expanded, I would want ND and West Virginia with Penn State being the pipe dream.

Imagine this ACC
West: Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas

North: Pittsburgh, Syracuse, BC, ND, Miami

East: Louisville, NC, Duke, VT, Virginia

South: FSU, Clemson, GT, NC State, WF

8 game conference schedule, 4 vs division with 1 permanent rival & rotate 1 game through each division.

Rivals:
Texas & ND
Oklahoma & Clemson
FSU & Miami
NC & NC State
Duke & WF
Louisville & Syracuse
Baylor & BC
Oklahoma St & GT
Kansas & Virginia
VT & Pittsburgh

What is more likely however is Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Baylor & Kansas going to the SEC with the ACC getting Texas, TCU & WV.

West: Texas, TCU, ND, BC, Miami, Louisville

North: Pittsburgh, Syracuse, VT, WV, NC State, WF

South: FSU, Clemson, GT, NC, Duke, Virginia

Rivals:
Texas & GT
TCU & WV
ND & Clemson
VT & Virginia
Miami & FSU
Louisville & Syracuse
NC & NC St
Duke & WF
Pittsburgh & BC

no way Clemson and FSU agree to being stuck in a division with ALL of the northern schools.

I doubt FSU & a few others would hang around after the massive pay cut but it would be great for Tobacco Road.
