You could tell it was huge for the players. Every time they put the Tribe down after taking the lead the fist pumps and excitement were plentiful. Truly fun to watch.

I realized during about the 4th inning this was my first time seeing the Hawks in person in 10 years. Special, and to see them battle like that all night and pick each other up inning after inning. Huge!!

Great calls CG! Too bad you didn't see one of the best offenses in college baseball get rolling. I'm thinking that losing Connelly has hurt our team spirit. He was a real inspirational leader out there. Hawks can't continue to play like this and hope for anything meaningful. It was a real gut check win but the offense wasn't there. Onto Saturday fellas. Hawks should have a little confidence going on the road now hopefully!

Lest we gloss over it: That was a big bounceback start for Foster (after a 9-4 loss to Northeastern last weekend) against a really good offense. He's our rock on Friday's.

It was even better in person. The ump's zone was a bit inconsistent throughout for both teams. Sometimes both pitchers would get the corners and then they wouldn't. It was back and forth the whole game. For Foster to keep them in check was huge coming off that NU game.

He's just a professional pitcher week in and week out. Exactly the type of guy you need on Friday's. Unflappable. I read W&M stranded 12 total on base against him and our pen. Awesome.

I thought that number would end up being the other way around the way the game started for us.

Offense continues the road struggles today. Again though, it's frigid here today. Was sleeting at my house around noon just before game time. I was watching online today until about the 5th. The feed has been terrible for me since. Listening to the end.

Offense comes alive late to take the lead 6-4!!!

After Austin's homer, the pitcher used the first pitch to go inside and almost hit him in the head. K-Mac stared him down hard enough for the plate ump to halt play and Scalf came out to address K-Mac and calm him down.

I'll be there tomorrow to cheer the Hawks on for a quality road sweep! How awesome does that sound considering our road performance up to this series?!
