Glancing through stats.....looks like the most hits we've given up in the BBCOR era.

To put this game in perspective, MTSU's reliever gave up three runs on seven hits in five innings, including four doubles.....and I feel like we just chased a dominant pitcher out of the game.

RE: 4/8-4/10 CUSA baseball action
Well, we are getting an interesting ending in H'Burg.

Puckett, MTSU's closer, comes in and walks the bases loaded (threw just one strike) with nobody out in the ninth. 11-9 MTSU.

Oh wow....walked a run in. 11-10. Still loaded nobody out.

Base hit by Burdeaux. 11-11.

Wild pitch. USM wins 12-11.

I'll take it....but really a horribly played game. Granted, bad conditions with the wind...but still.

Wow, what a complete meltdown by MTSU in the bottom of the ninth. 4 straight walks and lose the game on a passed ball. Still, good comeback win for the Eagles.

Very poor play in the outfield today and very poor pitching for the first 2/3rds of the game, but a rebound late to win.

Long way to go, and FAU is certainly still in the mix, but I'm going to make a not-so-bold prediction that the winner of the Rice-USM series will win the regular season title.

I'm just proud of this Herd team that is actually competing. Also not bringing down the conference. Go Herd

The bottom of the conference is the difference between the conference's RPI (and RPI for individual teams) this year than previous.

MTSU is a good team. I hadn't realized the schedule they opened up conference play with. Playing FAU, WKU, Rice and Southern Miss. Playing the top 3 teams in the league to start is rough.

A nice unexpected road series win for the Niners. Definitely a hitter's series. 57 runs scored.

Yep, and like I posted last week. It helped us (and the league overall) but really improving our RPI without really hurting FAU's very much. We improved from ~197 to 151, while FAU only dropped from ~14th to 25th. 04-cheers

We have done it before, unfortunately.

Seems like our pitchers get to college and forget how to throw strikes.

And we bring the wildest guy on our roster out of the bullpen ?
