Toughest opponent they face all year are themselves in scrimmages.

The gap will narrow considerably next year with the graduation of UConn's Big 3, and they might not even be the pre-season No.1 next year. They bring in point guard Crystal Dangerfield though, who they hope to eventually plug in to replace Moriah Jefferson.

So impressed with that program. Those women work freaking hard. Yeah, they're talented too, but the amount of hard work and critical focus is nothing short of amazing. Hearing several of the players talk about wanting to crush Syracuse extra hard because the Orange wouldn't schedule them was a nice touch too. I admire that.

I've said it before, extremely proud to call you conference mates.

At least our conference is consistently winning a national championship in a major sport every year since its inception 3 years ago.

Next year will be much more competitive. This team was special.

The national media really missed the story of how incredible Breanna Stewart is at basketball and instead decided to try and slam the sport and Geno's program. A once in a generation player like Stewart should have been celebrated. The team's dominance should have been attributed to her abilities. Yet, Shaughnessy and the rest of the lazy journalists that rolled with the punch lines went in a WAY different direction this year. It's too bad because she was the type of NCAA athlete that could attract new fans, and was certainly far from " bad for the sport."

She's easily the best thing to ever come out of Syracuse. It was amusing for me to see her father in a UConn t-shirt last night.
