He may not be able to play 40, but against ETSU Tuoyo averaged 30.7 minutes per game and produced accordingly: 12.3 points on 57.1% shooting, .765 ft’s, 5.3 reb, 1.3 asst, 1.3 steals, 3.7 blocks, 1 t.o.

I would hope that he will not be able to get away with that with Hanner and an improving Peter Jurkin on the floor.

For the 9.3 minutes when Tuoyo wasn't on the floor against the Bucs last year, they frequently had Chuck Ester as their big man (about 6'7" 220) and occasionally 6'6" 225 Duke Etheridge.

I expect that Ester will be the default replacement for Tuoyo again, unless they get London eligible. White likes to see himself as a stretch 4, not a post. But without London and with Etheridge gone, he may be called into service for a few minutes a game. Getting London eligible would be a big boost for UTC.

RE: Makinde London

NCAA more or less eliminated the hardship waiver the other year:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-s...37627.html

Best we can tell there is zero chance Makinde London would play this coming season, but has a realistic chance to play three more years in the future, rather than two, per what is outlined in that article. Would be a pleasant surprise if he is eligible as you guys say.

Do not be shocked if another player is added to the Mocs roster come this fall. This is a high school video of him:

He is 6-6 to 6-7 and will have three years of eligibility and is on campus.

Somebody said Jonathan Burroughs-Cook redshirted...nope...went to CoC, played and transferred after one year and went Juco and played one season. This will be his fourth and final season, barring something unforeseen.

Family hardship waivers are still available. Very hard to get but depending on London's circumstances still quite possible.

As for Graham, he's already listed on the roster - at 6'5". Mocs will be good but still believe they have a couple significant holes that they'll have trouble hiding against good teams. It's a 3 team race again.

According to the roster Graham has been with the Mocs for a year now, sitting out a transfer season. He's hardly a surprise. Listed at 6'5" 193 on the Chattanooga roster, Traevis Graham is nonetheless called an "athletic, high motored post player". Emphasis added. http://gomocs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5135&path=mbb

JUCO stats also indicate a mostly inside game: 8.3 points on 2-13 from 3 (15.4%), 58.7% ft’s, 0.3 assists, 1.1 t.o.’s, 0.5 steals, 0.4 blocks and 4.6 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game. http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2014-15...graham9b9e

Verbal Commits listed him as a 2* athlete coming out of high school with offers from 15 mid majors: FAU, UMass, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Campbell, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State, YSU, Appy State, Jacksonville, Charleston Southern, Presbyterian, IPFW. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/traevis-graham

It would be rare for a guy that size to make an impact in the post on the level that the Mocs are aiming for. He's not going to be taking minutes away from Chuck Ester, Casey Jones or Tre' McLean, let alone Justin Tuoyo. Although he might well play ahead of Jackson White who got into 10 games averaging 4.2 minutes in his freshman year. I'd guess maybe 10 minutes or less with modest stats. With even fewer minutes against the tougher competition.

GoMocs has some interesting information but has got to learn to take the size numbers on recruiting sites and signing announcements with several grains of salt. He has chosen to make an issue of the size of two incoming players, David Jean-Baptiste and Traevis Graham, and has been contradicted both times by Chattanooga's own roster figures.

For every Bill Walton or Kevin Durant who are bigger than listed, there are hundreds who are significantly smaller. The incentives for recruits and coaches to exaggerate a player's height in the recruiting process are enormous. The Mocs roster figures, by contrast, seem pretty accurate.

You might compare 6'5" 193 Traevis Graham with a couple of new Buc additions: Remember that his JUCO numbers included 18.6 minutes per game with 8.3 points on 2-13 from 3 (15.4%), 58.7% ft’s, 0.3 assists, 1.1 t.o.’s, 0.5 steals, 0.4 blocks and 4.6 rebounds. http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2014-15...graham9b9e Verbal Commits listed him as a 2* athlete coming out of high school with offers from 15 mid majors: FAU, UMass, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Campbell, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State, YSU, Appy State, Jacksonville, Charleston Southern, Presbyterian, IPFW. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/traevis-graham

Compare David Burrell 6’6” 190 2.7* stars @ verbal commits; Southwest Tennessee CC stats: Gp 34, 25.3 minutes, pts/g 15.1 fg % 54.0 3pt % 42.0 with 55 makes; ft % 69.9 reb/g 6.2 a/g 1.3, 1.5 steals. Burrell chose ETSU over offers from Washington State, Bradley, Southern Illinois, UIC, Eastern Michigan and Drake. http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2015-16...urrellwybs

Or 6'8" 215 Tevin Glass from Wichita State, also 2.7* stars from verbal commits. His JUCO stats at Northwest Florida were 24 minutes per game; 12.0 points on 55.1% shooting, 0 three's; 68.5% ft's; 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 t.o.'s, 0.9 steals. http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2013-14...nglass7857 He had a ton of offers along the way: VCU, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Auburn, Nevada, New Mexico, Murray State, MTSU, Wichita State, and, oh yeah, Chattanooga. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/tevin-glass

A more similar player might be 6'5" 220 Tommy Williams, another hard working, high motor young man with a post player's game but, unfortunately, not a post player's body.

Subtract Traevis Graham from Chattanooga roster, he was arrested.

Add JUCO Trayvond Massenburg.
