Akeem Springs of UW-Milwaukee is transferring to Minnesota. Springs was at NIU for the 2012-13 season. He was a freshman and played 18 games starting 8. Springs averaged 19.8 minutes but was unhappy with playing time. I actually blame Monty for Springs leaving. Springs had started and then Christian go healthy and he replaced Springs in the starting lineup. I knew as soon as that happened Springs would leave! Springs got a lot of minutes as a freshman but talented kids want to start especially on a team as bad as NIU was.

Actually he'll have his degree from WMU (that's the only way he can transfer and play right away) and probably won't stay long enough at BC to get one.
