Damn, I just tried to go to Trip's Tigers to verify the accuracy of this list and it looks like Andy let the domain expire.

I think that is about as ominous a sign as anything that has happened so far. That guy was as dedicated a fan as I have seen, if he doesn't even care enough to renew the domain we may be worse off than I even thought.

I think it was Tony, not Andy - for starters.

But he posted during most of 2015 that he would let the domain expire in Feb 2016. Has nothing to do with fandom or with the current Tigers. He just got tired of paying the fees. I tried to contact him to get it archived, but never got a reply.

Posted where? I haven't seen him on this site in at least a couple of years.

He had a message on his site that said it would be taken down in February.

Yea I still go, don't know why though. I usually leave the arena pizzed off after watching that clown on the side line whose impersonating a coach. But yea, I still go.

RE: Remember Finch's last recruiting class?
Steinthahl went on to have a decent career at OSU. I think he averaged somewhere around 10pts a game for his career. He just was not athletic enough to fit in here at the time. I wish the HS kids coming out of Memphis were as tough (mentally and physically) as the kids in the 1990's. (Lorenzen, Billy and Earnest Smith, Penny, Tony Madlock, Eliot Perry, Cheyenne Gibson, Steve Ballard.... That's what made them special. Arkansas's National Title was on the back for that Memphis toughness (Corey Beck, Dwight Howard, Elmer Martin). Corey Bradford at Illinois, Tony Harris at Tennessee, Robert Okelley at Wake Forrest, etc etc etc. The kids coming out of Memphis all seem soft and entitled. Sign of the times or is a direct reflection on the coaching they are receiving in HS? We were blessed with some great Old School HS coaches during that era. Now, a large percentage of the HS coaches here are less than impressive...

"Corey Beck, Dwight Howard, Elmer Martin"

Larry's problems were similar to Josh's, if you're going stake you claim on Memphis talent, you need to get them. Nolan found a loop hole that let Dwight Stewart and Corey Beck play a year earlier than their JR College class. Robert O'Kelly or Tony Harris should have been Tigers. I'm sure they could have found a janitor's job on campus for Tony's uncle, if they tried.

Tic Price coached them.

I remember Larry talking about "Omah" in many post game shows. Sneed was a hustling, rebounding, overachieving machine. He could find a way to score over much taller players.
