Shocking. I think the answer is to amend the 14th amendment to include fetuses conceived here, not just born here.

Of course the unborn have rights... evidenced by the fact that it is illegal to perform late term abortions. If they didn't have rights, it wouldn't be illegal. Similarly, many (most?) states make it a crime against the unborn (double murder) to kill both the mother and the unborn child. If the unborn had no rights, it wouldn't be 'double' murder... it would be something more like murder of the mother and then 'theft/damage' of 'her property'. I mean, if you kill someone, you aren't convicted of murdering their 'liver' as well.

but no she isn't. She said under our current laws, the unborn have no Constitutional rights.

They may not have the same rights as other citizens, but they DO have rights... certainly far more rights than a dog or a lamp.

21 weeks happens now and again, 20 weeks will be the next threshold to fall. Basically were to the point where a kid a little more than half way through the second trimester can survive.

Several babies born in the late teens have survived for hours.
