I thought back when we played Villanova that they just had a great game and didn't know if that was really them or just an aberration. Looks like they have done that to several others teams including Oklahoma tonight.

Can saying, " We had the opportunity to compete against the national champions" be a recruiting tool? If so go NOVA. Well go NOVA anyways cause well down with ACC.

That assist for the shot at .03 seconds was a beaut. My other favorite team, UVA (which went into one of those classic fall-aparts against Syracuse) beat both these teams during regular season, for whatever that's worth. Anyway, GO BUCS.

I was wondering the same thing. I can't think of a time in recent history that we have.

My guess is we have never played the national champion in the same year. At least in the modern era. We may have come close, as far as playing them a year or two before or after they won it.

Just with a glance it doesn't look like we have ever played the champ in the same season before.
