Or maybe Walt brings bad baseball juju when he goes to the games? Just sayin'.

Frustrating loss but not end of the world. team needs to be built to win a regional. although no one wants to break the streak of conference titles the goal should be to win a regional.
What is needed to win 3 games in a regional, meaning winning 3 games versus teams like TCU, A&M, Tech, LSU etc. those answers might be different than winning CUSA.

got to get to a regional first. If we cannot win Cusa, not likely to get an at large bid.

Buddy, while I certainly want/expect us to win our 21st consecutive conference championship, this year most pundits expect CUSA to field 3 teams into the post-season.

I think we're all disappointed not to be 16-0 or in the top 4 in the rankings because that's what we're accustomed to, but this team is in pretty good shape with regards to RPI and an at-large bid if it ever comes to that. I think that Rice would be a pretty good bet to receive a bid even if it didn't finish in the top 3 teams in conference. And, I'm not disagreeing with Walt, just suggesting that I could see a #4 Rice team getting a bid in favor of a team that were to finish #2 or #3, by virtue of RPI.
