Give the brave men and women guarding our southern border the funding they need and then they can recruit properly, and that means they'll have the numbers to patrol effectively. Won't stop the digging of tunnels, but it will keep the climbers in check.
Id prefer that he said he wanted put Cannabis on Schedule 2, stop giving illegals handouts and dry up the jobs through aggressive prosecution of people that hire them. In other words...actually address the underlying reasons these people climb fences and walk through the desert to come here.
That would certainly be a redeeming feature. I had hoped that the ruthless calculus of business would lead him to that realization by now, but if it has he isn't showing it. The crowd doesn't care about the nuances and he's playing to the crowd. In your opinion, is there a candidate currently in the race that embraces the concept you've just outlined? (I haven't done much research on the topic admittedly.)
I think the 3 in the LP debate tonight probably come closest...but...sadly none thus far. I guess Kasich touched on it but he falls way short also.
I would like to see Obama end his reign by putting Cannabis on schedule 2. I would applaud him for doing something that is honestly a no brainer. The idea that Heroin, Opium and Meth are in the same class of drug as Cannabis is one of biggest jokes of our time.

I bet if you said it was the border of Memphis, a certain cashier would be front and center with his sidearm ready to defend.

That doesn't answer the question at all. That's like telling me how to brew coffee when I ask for the recipe for pound cake.

Of Pot?......It doesn't because instead of pot in the backpack, it would be replaced with Heroin or Meth or whatever the next illegal drug was.

It didn't. Guess what....neither has the legalization of alcohol. Before my knees got so screwed up I did a lot of tromping around in the woods hunting and we were constantly coming across still sites that were way too new to be from Prohibition. I can make a call right now and have me quart of split-skull before the sun goes down.

Ill take a stab. I don't think it stops fence climbers coming here for work. I do think it would slow down the amount of weed coming illegally across the border. I imagine that it would become at some point just another product sold through the normal channels of business. No one is smuggling Tequila and Mezcal made in Mexico across the border. Im not saying it would totally eliminate the black market..but..it for sure would curtail it.

Sure..but..moonshining is more of a novelty than a wide spread business venture now. It is hardly even worth spending resources to stop.

Honestly it's far from a novelty and if you are willing to take the risk you can make a fortune running shine.
