The Liberal States of America...I'd love to move to that country.
lots of coast line and natural resources (used in a smart, clean, way)...plus, nice weather.
Well Enjoy it, but this time on the Pacific version !
the economies of those states are ranked
#1 (Cal), #14 (Washington), #25 (Oregon), and #38 (Hawai'i)
it would have a strong economy, lots of coast line, plenty of natural resources, surrounded by strong, peaceful nations...and a robust tourism industry.

You will never see any state or group of states secede. That ship has sailed because the world is completely different than the 18th and 19th centuries. There are so many moving parts to life today than there were back then that some semblance of centralized gov't is critical to the long term survival of the states. The US is greater than the sum of its parts because of synergies from a central gov't.
I do believe that one of Jefferson's prescriptions from awhile back may come to pass, i.e. that we go into revolution. Not the painful and violent revolution that he expected but a revolution to sweep away political parties that do not act in good faith as stewards of our country. Moving forward, I think we will see a lot more parties come and go as people no longer feel the pull to associate with one thru blind allegiance.
RE: is the southern state coalition plauible in secession?
The south is not as dominated by ideology as the northeast and west coast. Republicans may rule, but its a 53 to 60% rule, not domination as in Massachusetts or California. So there would not be any consensus. Much more likely that California or Massachusetts tries to secede.

It still amazes Me about California with all of the Taxes, Cost of Living and restrictions from environmental standards on nearly everything that people keep re electing the same radical liberals that got them in that position to begin with. Wasn't that many decades ago every young person was "California Dreaming" . Now that is only a pipe dream.

California dreaming is a move to Seattle or Austin.

I believe that in the near future you are going to see more secession movements rise up, not just in the south but nationwide. I feel that balkanization is inevitable.

I hope so and the South should kick out all the Yankees trying to changing the South. I would instantly move South if the secession occurs. Screw Yankeeland with our stupid laws and liberalism.
Are there any places of the Old South left? I need to see it before Yankee Doodle ruins it.
