08, where have you been? Most on this board have had the first 2 games on our calendars for months.

To continue the negativity, that is a brutal set of home games. Morehead St, C. Connecticut State, Rhode Island, and Elon - yikes. It will be interesting to see attendance numbers this season.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
Attendance this year will be at an all-time low for the new stadium.

The slide continues, but definetely looking forward to that away game at Norfolk St in 2017.

Two home games worth attending. Road trip to UNC might be fun though.

Hence why I won't renew this season. I only live in Lynchburg and even I have a hard time justifying the 1.75 hour trip for most of those games. Only one I am interested in is W&M and MAYBE Delaware, only cause they always give us fits for some reason.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
Looks like we scheduled a playoff appearance this year. If we lose more than 3 of these games with current staff and players, something went horribly wrong.

Agreed, I think this schedule is set up nicely for a playoff run!

I'm flying in for UNC and Homecoming. Definitely looking forward to UNC

Agreed the rest of the home schedule looks awful, barely even worth pulling out my laptop to log on and watch.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
That might be the worst home schedule we've ever had. Aside from Delaware and W&M (which I wouldn't really say I would be excited to see), the opponents certainly don't appeal to me to drive up and see.
Attendance at the first game won't be a problem due to being the season opener.
They would be very smart to put either family weekend or homecoming on the URI game.
We are going to learn a lot about our fan base this season, and hopefully the admin will get the message either way.

If people show up does thst mean this schedule was fine? Or that we would double the numbers in FBS?

If people don't show up is it because of a bad schedule or because we are fair weather supporters?

They've already planned those weekends. The dates for those are made almost a year out. This year Delaware if Family Weekend and Rhode Island is Homecoming.

Been preaching this for a long, long time. If we cannot beat teams that require a home-and-home then we don't need to be playing in a playoff game. Yes, that means some seasons we'll only have five home games and yes that means we will need to be flying to a few OOC games. Nevertheless, we need Jacksonville State, NDSU, Uni of Northern Iowa, Montana, Montana State, etc to show up on our schedule from time to time. One of those type teams each season.

+1 I wondered the same, fans not showing for Bourne schedule means... what? JMU fans have already proven they are supporters of all things JMU.
