One of those games. In the game into second half, and then it fell apart. No doubt Oakland a good team from a good and upcoming league (below). Never heard of them until now, but in this contemporary world of college athletics, unknowns can fast track (unlike the old days) and make their mark. Side note, guess Northern Kentucky knew what it wanted and used the A-Sun to get it.

Amazing stats

65(!) they scored in the second half

Has anybody *EVER* scored 65 on ETSU in a half? UCLA? 'cuse? Not gonna look it up, but *dang*.

They only became Div. I in about the late '90s or so. Used to be Michigan State - Oakland. They've actually been pretty decent for quite a number of years. I know they've made it to the dance at least twice, maybe more, and they got a bit of local press for knocking off UT twice (in K-town) not many years ago.

No. Kentucky did beat Oakland this year.

However, from the Horizon conference, Valpo is playing for the NIT championship and Oakland is playing for the Vegas championship. Both probably should have been in the NCAA

I did not watch or listen to the game. Simply too late for me. Anyway, looking at all the stats, it was 50-50 at the 15:13 mark. It then went south from there. And 65 points in one half is killer (as is that triple double). I don't want to look it up either. Oakland is a darn good team. I'm now looking forward to signing day and next year....and of course Bello tomorrow night. After the Masters, my sports viewing goes on hold until the start of football season. Go Bucs! Go Bello!

Trey Freeman scored 24 points, including two late free throws, and Old Dominion held off Oakland 68-67 on Wednesday night to win the inaugural Vegas 16 Tournament

That shows that Oakland isn't that much better than us and I still say no way they "thrash" Chattanooga. Unless Chattanooga has an off night or decides to pack it in,(like we did) but it wouldn't be because of talent level.
ODU beat LA Tech 68-52 in Conference USA tournament.

I still completely disagree. That Oakland team beats us 7 out of 10 times in my opinion. I may have exaggerated the "thrash" comment, but that team was simply better than us.

Kay Felder was the best player on the court and only probable NBA prospect at this time. Hooper got hot. We have players that get hot shooting the three. Otherwise, the Bucs just played half-heartedly and I'm not even going to judge or blame them on this occasion. Any given night, one team will beat another.

They might beat us 7 out of 10, but not by 20 plus. Chattanooga probably beats us 8 or 9 times out of 10 with current rosters. They are better, But not THAT much better, not, by the beating they put on us better then us. They aren't. You are going by the how they played the last 13 minutes of one game against us when we looked disinterested I am looking at how they played over the other 30 plus games of the season, a good team, a really good team but not a great team, not a team that should have blown us out like that.

Congrats to Kay Felder on getting drafted 54th overall by the Hawks, and then later traded to the Cavs. Love seeing guys like him get a shot in the league
