Has PJ started teaching his "Modern Dance 101" class at WMU yet? Or perhaps a boating class?

ha!

I pretty much have an "anything goes" attitude with coach, as his techniques seem to play very well with players and recruits.

But his use of "Elite" is the one thing that grates at me.

How does an article on NIU being highly ranked in its accountancy program gravitate To PJ's football program?

PJ has conditioned them well

WMU fan-"OH MAN THAT REMINDS ME OF PJ HE LIKES CHEMICAL TREES AND HORSES WITH HANDS FOR ROWING"

average joe-"alright, that was weird. Anyway my wife wanted me to grab some eggs from the store on the way home and..."

WMU fan-"OH THAT REMINDS ME OF PJ TOO WHEN HE STARTED KICKBOXING OUR RECEIVERS AND HIP THRUSTING OUR LINEMEN TO SHOW LEADERSHIP, WHAT A GUY! SOMETHING SOMETHING BOATS!!!"

Someone should send him a thesaurus with the entry for Elite highlighted.

I made a joke about your English program because of one of your alum's rogue use of the language. But I do love WMU football!! COGS

Everything on these boards eventually gravitates to PJ.

If you (or anyone else for that matter) would care to elaborate on this, I would be greatly appreciative. I am a career changer (mid 30s) and currently enrolled in phase one courses (300 level courses), with the goal of obtaining an M.S.

To be honest, I am worried about landing an internship/being hired due to age discrimination. I know this behavior runs rampant throughout the Big 4, but maybe mid-size public firms would be willing to hire an old man like me. If not, perhaps government accounting would be more for me. The advisors in the department are positive about my concerns but I wonder...

If you can handle the starting salaries of entry level, I think you will be fine. I would think many employers would be more than willing to take on a stable, adult who is choosing to make a career move. Plus your still young, mid 30's still provides 30 years of work ahead to a company. You have advantages over young kids in your life experiences, what career field are you coming from?

As for the courses themselves, just make sure you approach grad school far more intensely than undergrad, I went into it with the same mindset, going out 2-3 nights a week, and got rocked by the difference. Turned it around, just need to dedicate more time and effort than undergrad. Get the CPA as soon as possible, use Becker if you can afford/your employer will reimburse you, if you follow Becker's plan it's essentially fool proof to pass. Just devote the time, library for 2-3 hours a night, you can still do your thing on weekends and such just have to give it the time needed. Plus the CPA will show your seriousness with the career change.
