This is close to what you guys want to do. Its a good thing there are some adults in the room.

Btw this same Dan Wolken also wanted to fire his alma maters coach who had taken them to 7 of their 14 NCAA tourneys.

Didn't realize Josh was a UofM alum ?

Smith, Are you seriously satisfied with the direction of the program? You my friend are a settler. You seem to ignore the meat and bones of why most fans want to move from Pastner. Please address your perspectives on the following Pastner complaints:

1). Poor record against top 50 teams. We can't just settle with only beating 50-200 level teams.

2). Year after year, we have had multiple double digits or blowout loses.

3). No one RESPECTS or is afraid to play Josh Pastner's teams. We consistently get bullied by better teams.

4). Local recruits and local coaches seem to have lost faith in Pastner.

5). Our offensive and defensive system still seems unorganized and ineffective against good competition.

All of this and I have not even mentioned the no post season (Not even the freakin NIT) play in 2 years. The loses to ECU, Tulane, and Christian Brothers.

So again, why are Pastner fans so blind to what is going on with our program.

And please do not blame the players because we have been blaming the players since Wesley Witherspoon.

Smith, would your thoughts change if you knew we could bring in Bruce Pearl? Shaka Smart? Gregg Marshall?

I too don't want to pay $4mil/year and our coach be an unknown. Do think it's time to for new direction however.

perhaps some are not Pastner fans, but they see he isn't leaving this year, and simply chose to support the kids that are left...

It isn't. It's about people who are incapable of admitting they were wrong. We all admit it. They can't. It's a disease.

that's the thing, cheering for the Tigers isn't about being right or wrong...I hoped Pastner was a great coach, but I had no hand in his hiring, and I don't get a say in his firing or retention...I just cheer for the Tigers.

Hey troll.

Good morning.

All you ever do is criticize other people's opinions on here.

So, what's your opinion on the matter of Tiger basketball?

Exactly what do you recommend to fix the program?

I don't expect you to answer because that's not what you do. You like to lay in the weeds and comment on what others have to say without ever sticking your own neck out.

So, go ahead, take a risk and put yourself out there if you can scrape up the balls.

It just bothers me that Pastner and his fans always brags about total wins but when you take a closer look, most fans would understand that total wins by Pastner is very deceiving. His record against top 50 level teams is very poor. Most smart fans understand that Pastner padded his win total in the C-USA days.
Pastner won in C-USA when our program was fresh from going to the National championship game and multiple runs in the tourney. Our program when Pastner took over was competing for recruits with UNC, Duke and others. Since we have been in the AAC we have steadily declined.

Let me add that while we were winning in C-USA, we still had a poor record against top 50 non-conference teams.

Smith is not a pastner fan, he's an argument fan. If Pastner were killing it in the post season and this board was singing his praises, Smith would take an anti-pastner stance.
